In todays world, health and well being are spoken about alot. The NHS wants ‘us’ the patient to take responsibility for our own health. As a medic I have always been aware of these, particularly in my own specialist field (Womens’ health) .However, in my other life role ( military wife) this has been significantly lacking. Does the military lifestyle affect me and my family? Is my son disadvantaged because we keep moving? Should I be doing ‘something’ during the prolonged periods of separation to reduce the impact on his wellbeing? And so, it was with this in mind that I started to look into military research and whats happening ‘in this other world’. Which lead to this; writing a blog. I want to share with others military research and public health issues that are relevant to military families
